Students decorated their own Mountain Day pumpkins and gourds. |
Berea College students, faculty, and staff left their books and desks behind and headed for the hills--the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. The 132 Annual Mountain Day celebration lured throngs of people out to Indian Fort Theatre and to the Pinnacle for games, special performances and even a petting zoo!
Dining services served a larger number of students and staff than usual, a total of 710 people, though mountain-goers' appetites weren't full enough to pass up free candied apples and kettle corn.
The crowd was entertained by several performers including the Berea College Country Dancers, step team, Middle Eastern Dancers, Black Music Ensemble and the Bluegrass Music Ensemble.
