BC Recognized for Convocations

A recent USA Today article reported the findings of the National Study of Student Engagement (NSSE). Berea College was recognized for its Convocation Program, which provides students with culturally enriching lectures, concerts and other performances.

Berea College students are required to attend at least seven Convocations per semester, and receive a pass or fail grade which is factored into their overall GPA.

The NSSE is a survey that was created to assess the level of student participation in activities and programs, such as Berea’s Convocation Program. The information provided in the report is available for prospective students, their parents, and the general public. The overall goal of the report aims to learn how college students spend their time at various institutions and what they gain from their experiences.

Also joining BC on the list of colleges with culturally enriching experiences are Pepperdine, Centre College, Oklahoma City University and Winthrop University. To read the full USA Today article, follow the link below.
