BC Runners Finish First

Led by the efforts of Paul Winker and Trey Baker, the men's cross country team won the 2007 Kentucky Independent Athletic Conference (KIAC) Men’s Cross Country title.
Berea led the KIAC at the Region XII meet at Sycamore Shoals Park in Elizabethton, Tennessee. The meet also served as the KIAC Championships. The team, which finished in the KIAC meet, included three of the four top runners from the conference. Paul Winkler finished with a time of 27:00, which placed him 8th in the region. His teammate Trey Baker finished 21 seconds behind for 2nd in KIAC and 13th in the region.
Winkler was also invited to the 2007 NAIA National Cross Country Championships, which was run in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Saturday, November 17.
Other top seven finishers include Amr Abualandi (So.-STLCOP), Jarrod Wilder (So.-Berea), Aaron Linard (Fr.-Asbury), Silvio Flaim (Fr.- STLCOP), and Jeff Musgrave (Sr.-Alice Lloyd).
