Music Department Hosts General Student Recital

The BC Music Department presented the Spring 2004 General Student Recital on Friday, April 23 at 8 p.m. in the Gray Auditorium.

The performers, Sarah Houser (soprano), Dipendra Sunam (pianist), Erik Diehl (pianist), Rebecca Ogburn (soprano), Johab Alexis (pianist), Joanna Malcom (soprano), and Monica Heard (pianist), were selected by faculty members from the music department based on application.
Students played a variety of selections from various classical composers. Selections included "Scenes from Childhood" composed by Robert Schumann, "La conocchia" by Gaetano Donizetti, and "Nocturne in B-flat minor" by Frederic Chopin.
Overall the audience enjoyed listening to the students perform. One student commented, "It was very relaxing to hear the classical music."
The students were avaliable for questions and photos at the conclusion of the concert.
