The Berea College women's softball team honored their graduating seniors during Senior Softball Day on Saturday, April 24.

Coach Scott Buchanan and his squad presented seniors Shannon Sommers and Tarah Carnefix with flowers and parting gifts before edging Spalding University by a point on Saturday.

The Lady Mountaineers dominated Spalding throughout much of the afternoon, jumping ahead 5-2 in the 3rd inning. Spalding fought back with power hitting, but it wasn't enough to topple Berea as the Lady Mountaineers held on for a 5-4 victory.
