Maggie Heffernan spent the summer of 2007 in an internship researching sea turtles along Buck Island Reef National Monument in Saint Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands.

Maggie participated in this research, that focused on nesting sea turtles, during her fourth semester at Berea as part of the study abroad program.
