| Candy Walls Named Player of the Year
Candy Walls, ’09, from Stanton, Kentucky, has been named the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conferences’ (KIAC) Female Player of the Year.

An Honorable Mention NAIA All-American in 2008-09, Candy was named player of the Week twice by the NAIA and eight times by the KIAC in 2008-09. Candy appears in the top 20 NAIA Division II women’s basketball records in six categories. She holds the highest point average per game (26.21) and most three-point goals averaged per game (3.82).
This past season, Candy’s 760 total points broke the school record for points in one season and secured her ranking in the 1,000 Point Club with a total of 1,933 career points. She shattered the school record for most points (51) scored in a single game. In her career, Candy sank 207 three-pointers, 12 of which she scored in a single game, breaking another Berea record.
In a single season, she broke the record for the most free throws (161) and the greatest number of field goals (244). She also broke a career record in rebounds (938) and ranked eighth nationally in Division II with an average of 11.2 rebounds per game.
