The new school year has begun and hundreds of new students are moving in, decorating rooms, stocking school supplies, checking in with the labor supervisors, finding their ways to class and becoming acclimated to their new home.

Approximately 400 new freshmen, who come from 30 U.S. states and more than 25 countries, make up the class of 2013. Luke Hodson, director of admissions operations at Berea, says the college is excited about this newest group of students, which "have the strongest combination of financial need and academic ability in many years."
