| Extravaganza Promotes Volunteer Opportunities
Many students came to the Volunteer Extravaganza with the volunteer spirit and were eager to be a part of the many great opportunities provided by CELTS.

Many students came to the Volunteer Extravaganza with the volunteer spirit and were eager to be a part of the many great opportunities provided by the CELTS Center. The Volunteer Extravaganza, held on September 9 in the Trades Building, showcased all the volunteer programs in Students for Appalachia (SFA), Habitat for Humanity, People Who Care, and Bonner Scholars. Although the Volunteer Extravaganza has passed, there is still time to apply for many of the programs listed below. For those who want to volunteer, but are busy this semester, applications are available in the Spring Semester.
*Berea Buddies: Jessica Heatherly ex. 3805
Mentor a child 6 - 12 years old Monday or Tuesday evening for two hours.
*TEEN Mentoring: Jana Vandegrift ex. 3613
Work in a group setting with 13 - 15 year old teens once a week.
*Adopt a Grandparent: Dina Schmal ex. 3616 Get matched with a resident at the Terrace and visit once a week.
*HEAL: Danielle Capillo ex. 3613
Environmental and social justice advocacy and action campaigns.
*One-on-One Tutoring: Ashley Hall ex. 3805
Tutor the same child/teen 2 or 3 times per week.

Volunteer one or more Saturdays to visit hospitals/centers/nursing homes.

Pound nails and help build a family a new home.

Drive a senior citizen to the grocery store and make a new friend.
