The Berea College International Center’s Regional Focus for 2004-05 will be on religions and cultures of the Middle East.
Events include lectures, art, and film.
“When considering current international events, we feel that it is essential to try to increase education and awareness of cultures and religions around the world,” says Alison Garfinkle, international educational coordinator for Berea’s International Center.
“We hope these events focused on the Middle East will promote appreciation and understanding of cultures within a particular region, as well as encourage education and dialogue towards social change, peaceful reconciliation and community building,”
All events are free and open to the public. For more information contact Garfinkle at (859) 985-3451.
