InterACT drama group of California State University, Long Beach (CSULB), will bring “Words of our Students,” an interactive performance that helps promote dialogue on racism, to Berea College on Nov. 11.

The performance, at 8 p.m. in Phelps Stokes Chapel, includes a talk-back session where the audience can interact with the cast.
The actor-educators of interACT reflect the diversity of college campuses, and the scene, scripted entirely from students’ journal entries and anonymous confessionals, helps illuminate the deep rift that still exists between Caucasian students and persons of color.
“Words of our Students” was created five years ago by CSULB Communications Studies professor Marc Rich and has been presented to groups worldwide ever since.
The performance is co-sponsored by the Center for Excellence in Learning through Service (CELTS) and the Black Cultural Center of Berea College.
Admission is free and open to the public.
