Dr. Richard Cahill has been appointed Director of International Education and Associate Professor of History effective July 1, 2005.

Cahill received his B.A. from Westmont College and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of California at Santa Barbara. He is currently Lecturer in Islamic Studies in the Philosophy and Religion department at California Polytechnic State University in Santa Barbara. During his career, he has taught Islamic History courses and has held several other positions including director of the Middle East Studies Program in Cairo, Egypt and director of off-campus programs at Westmont College.
