Swim Team Competes at Nationals

Berea College's swim teams finished the season strong at the NAIA Nationals Competition in Lawrence, Kansas from March 3-6.
The swim team sent three individuals and three relay teams to the competition. Those students returned to Berea with numerous awards and a new school record.
Jeremy Fink received 9th place in 100-yard freestyle, 10th place in 100-yard backstroke, and 10th place in 50-yard freestyle giving a standout athletic performance. Fink not only placed in the national competition, but set new school records of 56.73 for the 100-yard backstroke and 48.24 for the 100-yard freestyle.
Justin Poag was named NAIA All American Scholar Athlete and J.D. Heffernan and Rebecca Wickert received Champions of Character awards.
