Minor in Appalachian Studies

Requirements for the Minor

A minor in Appalachian Studies requires a minimum of five (5) course credits, as follows:

Required Core Courses

APS 121, 229, and 253 (also HIS)

Required Distribution Courses

Two (2) additional course credits chosen from: APS 140 (also ENG), APS 210 (also HLT), APS 213 (also TAD), APS 215 (also SENS), APS 220 (also WGS), APS 224 (also MUS), APS 225 (also AFR/PSJ/SENS/WGS), APS 230 (also AFR), APS 236, APS 330 (also SOC), or other courses approved for Appalachian Studies credit
