Minor in Art History
A minor in Art History examines the artistic traditions of a broad range of periods and places, and the full spectrum of visual media based on the intersection between Art History and Social History. The minor is designed for flexibility and to complement a student’s interests and their study pursued in other disciplines.
Requirements for the Minor
A minor in Art History requires a minimum of five (5) course credits, as follows:
Required Core Courses
ARH 121 and 124
Required Distribution Courses
Three (3) additional 200 level or above ARH courses or approved courses taken during international experiences may count towards this requirement. No more than two courses can be transferred in to meet the requirement. A “C” or higher is required in each of the five courses. When necessary, approvals will be initiated by the advisor and approved and forwarded by the Program Coordinator.
