Jennifer is a PhD candidate in Rhetoric and Composition at the University of Louisville. Her research focuses on oilfield worker literacy practices in the Eagle Ford Shale region of South Texas. Before coming to Berea, she was the Assistant Director of the Virtual Writing Center at the University of Louisville. She has taught First Year Composition at the University of Louisville, Del Mar College, and Texas A&M University – Corpus Christi, the latter where she received her Masters of English in Rhetoric and Composition in 2009. She received her BA in Communications from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2000. She served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Romania (2000-2002) where she taught ESL to K-12 students.
